FAURECIA DecoVent demonstrator

YEAR CREATED: 2016, Programming collaboration, Client: Faurecia Innenraum Systeme GmbH

The demonstrator contains two partially motorized and illuminated vents ("DecoVents"), surrounded by 4 micro-OLEDs, backlit icons and LED chains for ambient lighting, combined with a functioning fan.

Great importance was placed on the "black panel" effect, which allows all display elements to visually disappear when inactive and so the icons, AirVent lighting and displays only become visible when a user interaction via the built-in Touchscreen tablet control takes place.

The 4 OLED displays show the set temperature of the air flow and the degree of opening of the vents, which can be adjusted via the servo motors. The RGB LEDs are used to backlight the icons, to visually indicate the airflow temperature and as an ambient decolight.

The installation and conversion of the Android tablet as well as the tablet app to control the functions was carried out by the company Atechnology
